Auburn isn't a lateral move. UF is a top 5 coaching school. AU is a second fiddle program in Alabama let alone nationally. Insofar as the East being an easier division is concerned, that isn't a big deal. Football is cyclical. What goes around comes around. Besides aTm and AU probably don't think the East is all that easy after getting whooped over the weekend. What does Uf have that Auburn doesn't? Beside one more NCEducate yourself as you really do look silly. Your opinion is so far into the minority that it isn't worthy of consideration.

You're a class act EDI am a class act to even respond to your question. Since you aren't about to accept my opinion regardless of what I write, let's take one opinion from a site that ranked all of the D1 programs for head coaches. This from Athlons from earlier this year: athlonsports.com/college-football/ranking-all-128-college-football-coaching-jobs-2014You can argue with them if you don't like/accept their opinions. UF comes in at #2 while AU comes in at #15. You could also find the opinions of others to show bama is #1 in all of the land. Please do as it might help with your college football education. Oops, there I go belittling again. EDIT: One more opinion - please present yours too - Sporting News Slide Show Of The Top 10 College Head Coaching Jobs: www.sportingnews.com/photos/4540736-the-10-spot-top-jobs-in-college-football-texas-florida-usc-alabama-ohio-state-lsu/slide/192589

The truth of the matter is that facilities at both UF and the barn have fallen behind several programs. BAMA, Texas, USC, Oregon, and Lsu have all surpassed both of them in that area, and that in turn affects recruiting and strength and conditioning.
Still, the UF job is the better of the two, mostly because of the fact that they're right there in one of the nations biggest hotbeds of talent. The barn program is kind of sandwiched between BAMA and UGA, and the often find themselves scrapping for their leftovers. In fact the barns last two high-profile QB's have been rejects from UGA and UF and one of their best running backs was a transfer from BAMA who left because he was the Tide's sixth string RB who never saw playing time.

UF recently completed a lot of improvements with the football offices/weight room. The only thing UF lacks is an indoor practice facility. The weather doesn't really require one, but UF is in the planning stages to build one anyway. As you said, UF needs to keep up with Jones' for recruiting. If UF needs it or wants it, it will be done. Bottom line, there is no reason for the right coach not to be successful and compete for championships.

I believe that 'weather' in Gainesville is the reason that the Gators aren't bowl eligible right now. How so? Idaho would have already given UF their 6th win.

I believe that 'weather' in Gainesville is the reason that the Gators aren't bowl eligible right now. UF would be 6-4 except for the weather and that neither team wanted to reschedule to the mutually available open date before the UGALY game. It would have taken a domed stadium to avoid that bad experience. I know Eastern Kentucky is 8-2, but I can't imagine Muschamp allowing another Georgia Southern type of upset to happen. If UF finishes 6-5, UF will have to accept the bowl invitation, but it would be just as well if the bowls passed on UF. The 13 additional practices can't mean anything without a HC. Muschamp is done after at FSU. UF fans filled up the Chick Fil A Peach Bowl against Miami, a 27-10 loss with Charlie Strong coaching, after the Zooker left. However, I wouldn't bet on a good following going to one of the lesser bowls in Birmingham, Nashville, Memphis, or Shreveport. I'd rather UF sit at home for the holidays. I'm not sure of the bowl rules, but it may be that the win over Eastern Kentucky wouldn't count for the 6th win needed to become qualified. That could be the out for UF and the bowls if that is the case.

Sorry Kurt, I'm not buying it. I think you are saying the right things with another year to be paid on your contract and you don't want to burn any bridges behind you. Before the LSU game when you stated that Muschamp had final say on the offensive starters tells me Will was micromanaging the offense. Will also tried to cover his decision not to play Kelvin Taylor more by stating there's more to playing RB than running the ball. Again, I'm not buying it: www.gatorsports.com/article/20141118/ARTICLES/141119559?p=1&tc=pg
