Dante Fowler announced he is leaving early to the NFL saying he came in with Champ and is leaving with Champ. Well, excuse me, Dante was gone even if Muschamp had been retained:

After indicating earlier in the day that he'd probably be leaving Florida early for the NFL draft, standout defensive end/linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. pretty much confirmed his intentions Tuesday night.
“I came in with champ. I'm leaving with him,” Fowler posted on Twitter.
Earlier in the day, Fowler said he would sit down with Will Muschamp after the season and then make a decision about his draft status.
“He'll have a big say on my decision,” Fowler said. “But we'll approach that at the appropriate time. Definitely, me and him are going to sit down and talk with my family.”
Fowler was asked if there is a scenario where he might return for his senior season.
“Just if something develops or (the NFL) says I'm too young or something like that,” he said.
Muschamp was fired Sunday, but will remain through the final two games of the regular season.
Fowler said all the talk and rumors about Muschamp's job security have been a distraction this season.
“There was just a lot of drama going on, just through Champ there and things like that,” Fowler said. “I feel like everybody wanting him to leave so bad that it kind of turned into a distraction. As you can see, I mean, we had the game (against South Carolina) in our hands. Whenever you let the game fall out of your hands like that there's going to be some commotion and things like that, so I understand that.”
Fowler said the players are very close to Muschamp.
“I'm just proud to say I was coached by coach Muschamp,” Fowler said.

I don't understand what Kerwin Bell did to get on UF's bad side. I can understand him not having the credentials for HC, but he has been passed over for OC as well.
This from Pat Dooley on the coaching search - those that won't be considered for UF's HC position:
"I knew it was going to be easier to eliminate possible UF hires for the football coaching job than to guess the right one. It’s like I’ve told all these radio guys —how could I know who it will be if the man making the hire doesn’t know? Here are some names that I have seen suggested that won’t be considered for a variety of reasons — Lane Kiffin, Mike Shanahan, Rich Rodriguez, Dan Mullen, Dana Holgorsen, Tim Tebow, Butch Davis, Jon Gruden, Kerwin Bell, Spike Dykes, Chad Morris, Jim McElwain and Jim Harbaugh. There are some others that are likely worthy of that list, but the main thing is that this is going to take some time. And I know Florida wants to hire a guy that’s well enough known you don't have to Google his name. Again, I warn everyone to be patient. Florida is not going to contact a coach until after their regular season is over and in some of their cases that could be Dec. 7."

Here, rumors include the usual Bob Stoops to Florida rumors and now the Mike Gundy to Florida rumors. UF's AD Jeremy Foley said he isn't talking to anyone during the regular season. Bobby Stoops isn't the third time is the charm. Completing 16 years at OU, there is no need to change based on his AD support, pay, and his record. Mike Gundy would be interesting, but he's an Ok St. player/alum so I doubt that happens. He'll probably use UF to get himself some job security and a raise. Bobby Stoops did that twice. Bottom line, I don't see anyone from the state of Oklahoma coming to UF.

Maybe they should hire Lane Kiffin. He's no longer allowed to coach w/o adult supervision.

Maybe they should hire Lane Kiffin. He's no longer allowed to coach w/o adult supervision. It's not something Jeremy Foley would consider, but I would. I actually think he would be a good long-term hire: 1. He has an excellent offensive mind 2. The third time would be the charm 3. His wife, Layla, is a UF grad along with her father, former Gators QB John Reeves 4. Everybody would hate the success this SOB would bring to UF. That I like best of all Unfortunately, Jeremy Foley won't consider it: 1. When at UT, he called out Urban Meyer as a cheater and had to pay a fine when proven wrong 2. When at USC, he allowed a USC RB who both UF and USC recruited to lie that UF had contacted him when there was speculation of a transfer No, Jeremy Foley wants a higher character person. Will Muschamp wanted to interview him for OC when he hired Kurt Roper, but Foley wouldn't allow it. That tidbit came from insiders and was before bama hired him.

I was just messing around, but from what I have seen (could be wrong, of course) Kiffin is in his wheelhouse as an OC.

Will Muschamp is in his wheelhouse as a DC. That doesn't mean he won't get another HC job.
I was just speaking for myself. Jeremy Foley isn't going to hire Lame Kitten, but I would.
