Three players out of practice:
DE Jordan Sherit - hamstring DE Alex McCalister - ankle DT Joey Ivie - leg
It looks like all 3 will miss FAU.

Top four same, UF to No. 8 in latest CFB rankings
The Associated Press
Published: Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 10:38 p.m.

Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State and Notre Dame remained at the top of the College Football Playoff selection committee rankings.
Iowa stayed at No. 5 and Oklahoma State moved up to No. 6, one spot ahead of Big 12 rival Oklahoma.
Florida moved up three spots, from No. 11 to No. 8 and could have a say in the final four with wins over the next three weeks (FAU, FSU and most likely Alabama in the SEC Championship Game).
Clemson, Alabama and Ohio State seem to have control of their playoff hopes. If those three win out it looks as if they should be in.
The highest ranked Pac-12 team was Stanford at No. 11. The Pac-12 will need a lot of help to avoid being left out of the final four the way the Big 12 was last season.
Navy was the highest-ranked Group of Five team and American Athletic Conference rival Houston was No. 19. The Midshipmen and Cougars play each other on Nov. 27.
College Football Playoff Rankings
Record
1. Clemson 10-0
2. Alabama 9-1
3. Ohio St. 10-0
4. Notre Dame 9-1
5. Iowa 10-0

7. Oklahoma 9-1
8. Florida 9-1
9. Michigan St. 9-1
10. Baylor 8-1
11. Stanford 8-2
12. Michigan 8-2
13. Utah 8-2
14. Florida St. 8-2
15. LSU 7-2
16. Navy 8-1
17. North Carolina 9-1
18. TCU 9-1
19. Houston 10-0
20. Northwestern 8-2
21. Memphis 8-2
22. Mississippi 7-3
23. Oregon 7-3
24. Southern Cal 7-3
25. Wisconsin 8-2
The College Football Playoff Selection Committee will issue weekly rankings each Tuesday, with the final rankings being announced Sunday, Dec. 6 (Noon EST). The playoff semifinals will match the No. 1 seed vs. the No. 4 seed, and No. 2 will face No. 3. The semifinals will be hosted at the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl on Dec. 31, 2015. The championship game will be on Jan. 11, 2016 at Glendale, Ariz.

From Gator Country:
Written by Mark Miller, November 19, 2015
I am still trying to grasp the reality that this Gator team swept the SEC East schedule this season. Talk about overachieving. Yes, the Vandy game was ugly. Yes, South Carolina managed to give the Gator Nation quite a scare in the fourth quarter. And yes, even the most ardent Gator fans are skeptical of beating Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. None of that matters.
Head Coach Jim McElwain has the team BELIEVING they are going to win. Last season, this team (mostly the same players) would have likely caved in the South Carolina game when things went badly in the fourth quarter. Oh wait, this team DID cave in the South Carolina game last season when things went badly in the fourth quarter. I was in the stands for that gut-wrenching event. It was that fourth quarter that sealed Will Muschamp’s fate. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Gamecocks. Clearly, this is no longer a team that waits for something to go wrong in a game, they now make plays to assure that it doesn’t end badly. And folks, that truly is the difference between champions and also-rans. As Mac has said, this is a championship run.
For three quarters Saturday the Gator defense was absolutely smothering. Yes, they gave up fourteen late points but I really believe that it was more a case of thinking the game was in hand and letting up a little. The fact that the team, especially the offense, was able to wake up, renew their intensity and put the game away is a testament to just how much coach McElwain has changed the mentality of these players. One thing that has concerned some Gator fans is that the Florida defense seems to be susceptible to the trick play. It just is not a big deal. Trick plays are almost always designed to take advantage of an aggressive defense. Florida is ultra-aggressive on defense and that does make them vulnerable to the occasional trick play. But, it’s that same aggression that make the defense so dominant the rest of the time. I’ll take it.
The unfortunate part of the two late scores by South Carolina was that a shutout would have helped the Gators with the infamous “eye test” that the playoff committee supposedly uses. It shouldn’t matter and Florida has way too much difficult football ahead to be worried about such things at this point. It is true that beating Alabama will be a huge challenge, but being in the game means you have a chance to win the game. Florida is in the game. Even if the Gators do not win the game in Atlanta, wins over Florida Atlantic and FSU should put them in the Sugar Bowl and that ain’t too shabby.
While anything is possible, Saturday should see the Gators reaching the ten win mark on this season. That is still amazing to me. I thought 10-2 was a remote possibility if everything went Florida’s way, but it really hasn’t. The Gators have lost their starting quarterback for half of the season. It was thought that the offensive line would have to be nearly injury free. There have been multiple injuries and missed games along both lines. Yet, ten wins are almost guaranteed and I believe Florida will be favored in both of their remaining games making eleven regular season wins realistic. Again, to me, that is just amazing. I think Jim McElwain should be awarded coach of the year right now, not just for the SEC but nationally. No other coach has had as big of an impact on their team.
The Gators find themselves eighth in the latest playoff committee poll. With three weeks of football left, that is a great place to be. There is almost no way for Florida to be left out of the playoff if they find a way to win these next three games. Unlike some, I am not willing to say that it is impossible for the Gators to be left out but I do think it is highly unlikely. It is hard to imagine a scenario where a one loss SEC Champion gets passed up. The only concern I would have is the mostly unfounded love for Notre Dame. Which brings me back to “are you freaking kidding me”, we are really discussing whether or not Florida will get into the playoff in 2015?
This season has been such a wonderful ride that I really hate the fact that it’s more than two thirds over. How did it go by so fast? The last two seasons seemed to last forever. Before we know it we will be stuck in the barren wasteland between the conference championship games and the first meaningful bowl games. So, even though it is a little tougher to get excited about a cupcake game this late in the season, I will watch the Florida Atlantic game and (hopefully) enjoy seeing the team have a little fun and get some snaps for a few guys who have worked hard all year for their moment in the limelight. Some banged up starters will get some much needed rest and healing to be ready for the two game sprint at the end of the month. And, the offense should get a chance to find a little rhythm. Saturday should be that last deep breath before the plunge. Enjoy it Gator fans for the stress returns on Sunday.

Just saw on Twitter that Will Grier did lose his appeal on shortening his suspension. Will Grier won't be able to play again until game 7 of the 16 season against Mizzou in Gainesville. If it had been deer antler spray, he'd have been fine. (shaking head)

I've been reading stuff, both news and message boards, and am marveling how this team, with this OLine and Treon Harris, is 10-1.
It's remarkable and very euphoric. My head tells me we hit a reality brick wall Saturday, followed by a wrecking ball the next week driving my beloved Gators deep into the dirt. But at the same time, there is something almost mystical about this team, in some ways reminiscent of 06.
I really don't think FSU will be dealing with dead fish in The Swamp this Saturday. It will almost absolutely be ugly, and we may not win, but........

My gut feeling is that Mac is sandbagging on some of the players on the injured list. Jon Bullard miss senior day/FSU? Not a chance. This from Gator Country:
Written by Nick de la Torre, November 23, 2015
The No. 10 Florida Gators (10-1, 7-1 SEC) have avoided the injury bug for most of the season but it seems as if their luck may be running out, as they get ready to host the No. 14 Florida State Seminoles (9-2, 6-2 ACC).
On Monday Jim McElwain listed 11 players on the injury report. Redshirt junior defensive lineman Alex McCalister (foot) and redshirt sophomore Jordan Sherit (hamstring) were both listed as out.
Sophomore receiver Brandon Powell (foot), freshman offensive lineman Martez Ivey (shoulder), sophomore offensive tackle David Sharpe (foot), redshirt sophomore center Cam Dillard (leg) and junior defensive tackle Joey Ivie (leg) were all listed as questionable by Jim McElwain.
Redshirt freshman defensive tackle Taven Bryan (ankle) and senior defensive lineman Jon Bullard (knee) were listed as doubtful.
Redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Caleb Brantley and senior linebacker Antonio Morrison were both listed as probable, despite showing up on the injury report. Sophomore cornerback Vernon Hargreaves (stomach illness) who missed most of the game last week should be ready to return this Saturday against FSU.
Seniors Jon Bullard and Antonio Morrison have started every game this season and lead the team with 23-consecutive starts.
With at least two defensive lineman and potentially five missing the game this Saturday, Florida will need to figure out a way to stop FSU running back Dalvin Cook, who has tallied 185 carries and 1,475 yards this season with 16 touchdowns.
“That’s where we’re at,” Said McElwain. “We will have enough guys run out of the tunnel to form a team in this ball game. I’m looking forward to the guys that are going to be given opportunities to perform and perform at a high level in a game that means so much to so many, and to some of us a little bit more.”
It was also reported that Antonio Riles is playing at DT this week instead of OT. He played there last week without getting any practice reps. At least this week he'll be able to practice at the position.
My guess is some of the players sit out until Wednesday and then miraculously return for the Wednesday/Thursday practices. Again, looks like a bit of sandbagging to me.

UF football adds more from 2016 Class
By Zach Abolverdi Correspondent

Florida won't be short on wide receivers this spring.
A day after signing a pair of verbal commitments, two more members of UF’s 2016 class inked with the Gators on Wednesday.
Wide receivers Josh Hammond and Isaiah Johnson signed their written offer of admissions for early enrollment.
A third wideout, Freddie Swain, and cornerback Chauncey Gardner signed Tuesday.
Hammond is the younger brother of former Florida receiver Frankie Hammond, now with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Under Armour All-American has had a breakout senior season for Hallandale, catching 59 passes for 1,036 yards and nine touchdowns.
Johnson has also had a productive year at West Palm Beach Dwyer, hauling in 44 receptions for 809 yards and 12 scores. The 6-foot-3, 212-pounder has spoken to the UF staff about possibly playing tight end in college.
Hammond, Johnson and Swain, who had 706 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior, are important additions to a UF receiving corps that will likely lose at least five players after this season.

I've got it UF 21; FSU 20. Given the Gators offensive woes since Grier's suspension and injured DL missing the game, I wouldn't be surprised to see it go the other way either.
