Kyle Trask and Jake Allen will QB the Blue team. Robbie Andreu of the Gainesville Sun says Franks leads the QB race followed by Kyle Trask, but nothing will be settled until summer camp. Not much has been said about Jake Allen and Emory Jones is being brought along slowly as true freshman early enrollee. |

Rising RS freshman QB Jake Allen is transferring. He recognizes that he is not a good fit for Mullen's offense.
Allen was committed to UF since his sophomore season at St. Thomas Aquinas. He helped with recruiting players to UF. Although I do hope UF doesn't allow him to transfer to a program on UF's scheduled play list, I do wish him good luck and much success wherever he lands. After sitting out his transfer year, he'll have 3 years to play.

QB Shea Patterson being cleared to play for Michigan immediately should be good for WR Van Jefferson being cleared to play for UF immediately: www.seccountry.com/florida/florida-football-van-jefferson-shea-patterson-ncaa-ruling-eligibilityWhen he is cleared, Jefferson will be UF's top WR. He comes from good bloodlines. His father had a successful career in the NFL. Jefferson grew up around the game. He'll be a terrific addition to the UF offense. The next good news for the offense would be Trevon Grimes getting his approval to play in 2018 too. Grimes transferred from Ohio State due to family health issues, his mother's bad health, and his need to play closer to home. The NCAA is fickle when it comes to decisions like this involving family health issues. The sky is the limit for this kid. |

I like that Emory has put on 10 good pounds. My guess is he'll put on another 5 pounds before summer camp. He'll be big enough to contribute in SEC play this season. |

It's a well deserved honor. It couldn't happen to a more pleasant and likeable person. The television broadcasts are on a bit of a delay from live, but I'll listen to Mick when I find the tv announcers to be less than adequate. It often happens on ESPN, but I do like Gary Danielson/CBS. I knew Jerry Pate in our middle teens. He was a jerk back then, but he was a heckuva golfer, not a bad basketball player too as I covered him when we played pickup ball in PE and out of school. He was lucky to marry one of the pretty/nice Nelson sisters which I hope mellowed him over the years. |

The biggest commit I hope sticks it out is QB Jalen Jones. He is going to be a stud, size and ability, like UF hasn't had since Tim Tebow. |
