impressive win. uf’s d is for real. Makes me wonder about Kentucky. They manhandled us at the line, but they may not have been as bad as I thought. OSU got a nice win on the road too. Nice comeback. thx... uk looks like the gators but w/a more effective (at least right now) ground game. they are strong on the los on both sides of the ball. 'cats have testers on the road at a&m and mizzou still to come before hosting uga on 11/3 in what could be the biggest fall weekend in lexington in quite a while.

impressive win. uf’s d is for real. Defense - A+ Offense - C, but improving Special Teams - B Overall - B+ The D gave an elite effort. I watched the second half of your game. It was as good as the score. It's a shame either team had to lose. JMHO, the bucknuts are a lock for the playoff. nice to be able to flip around the dial on a saturday, which makes my wife's head spin but helps get a glimpse of so many games. i thought the bulldogs' offense would bounce back but the gators controlled the entire game. tosu still has a road game in east lansing and a trap game vs a maryland program which could give us a game for the first time since they've been in the big 10 before the finale. but that win in state college was big, and you did hate to see either one come up on the short end.

LSU at Florida opened at Gators +3 1/2. Either LSU is over ranked or Florida is under ranked.

UF released depth chart for LSU game: floridagators.com/news/2018/10/1/football-gators-release-depth-chart-for-lsu-game.aspxChanges: 1. Dre Massey moved from WR to CB 2. Kyree Campbell moved over Elijah Conliffe, but connected by OR 3. Adam Shuler moved over Tedarrell Slaton, but connected by OR 4. Jachai Polite and CeCe Jefferson connected by OR 5. Jeremiah Moon had OR removed and is listed 3rd 6. Brad Stewart moved above Jeawon Taylor, but connected by OR 7. Shawn Davis moved above Donovan Stiner, but connected by OR Except for the Dre Massey move to CB to shore up depth there, all of the changes were made on defense. Truthfully, they weren't worth making the official changes. UF plays 3 deep on the DL and as deep as they can get in the back 7. It likely only is saying who is hitting the field first as all of those players get extended playing time. UF came out of the MSU game healthy and with no new injuries. It has been reported that true freshman WR Jacob Copeland will be cleared to return to practice starting today. He tore his meniscus in the first week of summer camp and had surgery the next week for the repair. As talented as he is, it will be a week or two for him to get up to speed. I wouldn't expect him to be a factor for a couple of weeks. Given that he has NFL talent, UF may as well play him as much as they want and as much as he can contribute since it is likely that he will be 3 years and off to the NFL. Bluntly, forget the redshirt with this kid. He is a Percy Harvin type of player, even more so than Kadarius Toney who is electric with the ball in his hands and can throw as he came out of high school as a QB, see the TD pass he threw against MSU last Saturday.

Gators Out Tough LSU in Swamp Slugfest: floridagators.com/news/2018/10/6/football-gators-outtough-lsu-in-swamp-slugfest.aspxOn the INT returned for a TD, Mullen hugged the player and then told him to take a knee next time as UF could have closed out the game. I can see why a player with a clear path to the endzone would take the score in the heat of the battle, but taking a knee would have been the smart play to make. UF didn't need the points as the opponent would have been the clock to close out the game. LSU could have only stopped the clock once before the Gators would have melted the clock to zero. 20-19 would have been more reflective of the closeness of the game too.

UF at Vandy was picked up by ESPN. The game will be televised at 11 AM CDT. The weather should be perfect for football with temps in the low 60s throughout the game.

Depth Chart for at Vanderbilt: floridagators.com/news/2018/10/8/football-gators-release-depth-chart-for-vanderbilt-game.aspxAccording to the participation report, Tedarrell Slaton didn't play against LSU after having only played 8 snaps at MSU. Slaton spoke up in the player's presser for more snaps after the MSU game. I have a hunch that Mullen sent a message to the big guy that this is a team sport and he better keep his mouth shut and do his job. It's called buying in to more players getting on the field and the sharing of snaps. I won't call it a suspension, but I suspect he was in Mullen's dog house for the LSU game. UF played to 10 deep on the DL without him. Luke Ancrum 6'5"/264 DE should be listed under Zachary Carter. Ancrum has played in the last 2 games while Carter hasn't seen the field since at UT. JMHO, Carter is too good to redshirt, but he has only played in the first 4 games so he is still eligible. CJ McWilliams is now listed at CB behind Trey Dean with Dre Massey behind him. McWilliams started at CB against LSU with Dean coming off the bench. Amari Burney has played in all 6 games so he is not redshirt eligible. I see him backing up Chauncey Gardner-Johnson instead of McWilliams. Ventrell Miller is the 6th LB off the bench. I'd have him listed under Rayshad Jackson. He played some LB against LSU. Lacedrick Brunson plays some LB too, but mainly plays special teams. He's LB #7 off the bench. If you are getting the impression that UF has excellent depth in the defensive front 7, you'd be right. UF has also worked out the depth at CB and S after losing starting CB Marco Wilson to a season ending knee injury in the first series of the UK game and starting S Quincy Lenton for the season to a torn Achilles heel in fall camp. Looking far ahead, I can see UF getting RB Malik Davis back from his broken foot in the UT game for the last 1/3 of the season, South Carolina/Idaho/at FSU. If he isn't ready by then, he could take a redshirt as he only played in the first 4 games. I like the new redshirt rule. That would make Davis a redshirt sophomore in 2019.

UF leads Vandy 39-10-2: football.stassen.com/cgi-bin/records/opp-opp.pl?start=1869&end=2017&team1=Florida&team2=VanderbiltThe games are closer at Vandy and the dores have won more at home. I remember they gave our 96 national championship team all they could handle. The dores have a good coach and a good QB. It would be a mistake to take Vandy for granted. The Gators won 13-6 in Gainesville last season and the dores are better this season. Vandy came close to upsetting Notre Dame in South Bend earlier this season as well. The dores will be competitive. With that said, UF should win by 2 TDs, say 31-17.
