SSouth Carolina lost a starting safety early oon a targeting call. Alonzo Highsmith tweeted he was ejected for what use to football. Terrible rule. Ought to just play flag football. Won't be much agreement here, but the unnecessary roughness call on Missouri on Murphy was pretty weak as well. South Carolina has got their hands full right now, THATS fer damn sure !!! Helluva game.....Tenn is playin tuff....sorta.....Spurrier will guide his team to victory but this ain't pretty and the spread is history Damn. Last second FG and the Vols win. And Vandy is up on Georgia late. Are we in some alternate college football universe? Did love the old ball coaches comments yesterday. This is his 14th or 15th game coaching at Neyland stadium. So he says he has coached more games there than some of UT's head coaches.

Easley, Powell, Jacobs, and Riggs ejected on the first play. That's two starting DTs and a starting DE plus a starting safety. It's not just Easley.
It's also Muschamp's insistence to keep a redshirt on 6'3"/305 DT Jay-nard Bostwick. UF's ability to stop the inside running game isn't enhanced by moving 6'3"/270 DE Jonathon Bullard inside. That leaves two holes as Bullard is a classic SDE, not a DT.
Arkansas, LSU, and now Mizzou has gouged UF right up the middle. Yes, it's injured players, but the response or lack thereof to keep two effective DTs on the field is totally Muschamp and Durkin. Bullard is an NFL caliber SDE playing out of position. I'm not happy with Muschamp right now and not just for losing.

Mizzou has a two game SEC East lead with the head to head over UGALY and UF. USC is the only team that can keep them out of Atlanta. Both UGALY and UF have too many injuries. The season is shot for both.
UF has the look of a 6-6 or 7-5 team. UGA not much better, but they have a bit of an easier schedule left to play, including UF.

Darrell, teams like UF and UGALY, even Miami, can only absorb so many injuries and be championship competitive. Both have gone beyond that point.

Shannon didn't recruit him at all early and when they tried to get in late he took an official party trip and never gave us the time of day. I never pull for Florida kids who leave the state unless they have a clear family connection, in which case they are not 100% Florida kids.

pat_dooley: Jeremy Foley after yesterday's game -- "(Muschamp's) not going anywhere and I'm not going anywhere."
I've always been a believer in slow to hire after due diligence and quick to fire when warranted. Jeremy Foley was quick to hire and it looks like he's going to be slow to fire.
My guess is 11-2 last season bought Muschamp year 4. If the flooded ship isn't righted, he'll be gone before or by the end of next season.
The team under Muschamp is much closer to Ron Zook and Galen Hall than I can be comfortable with. In the past, Jeremy Foley has stated that there is no need to delay what will have to eventually be done. I'm hoping his comment is like the words of support Pat Haden gave Lane Kiffen prior to the start of the season. If so, Will Muschamp is officially now on the hot seat.
