As I said, what Joker did, if true, was dishonest, stupid, and deserving of his resignation. I expect UF coaches to be held to a higher standard than what is acceptable at UM. Joker tendering his resignation is hopefully proof that UF won't tolerate a cheater. I still believe a culture of corruption exists at Miami. Just because the NCAA blew the investigation doesn't change what exists and has existed for years at UM. You can change the names and faces, but the culture hasn't changed. Not for one second do I believe that UM is innocent of involvement in getting the picture of Joker and the recruit and forwarding it to the NCAA. Let's call it part of the hatred that exists between the two programs. It's more evidence that all games in all sports between the two schools should be stopped, not just football. At the very least, I hope any talk of a neutral site football game is permanently ended. Oh, I don't doubt that our staff would drop a dime on the UF staff in a heartbeat. There are a lot of negative feelings in South Florida over Musty's negative recruiting the last few years. Most think Goldens comment about how sweet the victory was, over the Gators last year, were directly related to those feelings. And, of course, there are always rumors of UF money being spent in South Florida. As I said, I am sure it goes on every where to some extent. I am confident that Goldens reputation is easily as good, with regard to honesty, as Mustys is and likely quite a bit higher.

What leads you to believe that? Could have been from any school (or fan of said school) in America so I am not sure why you feel the need to single out UM. Mike, go back and read the Gainesville Sun article. The picture was taken by someone with ties to Miami. That much has been acknowledged and is why Miami has refused to comment on the situation. Gotcha, sorry. I didn't read the whole article and hadn't heard where the pic came from.

Mark, I 110% would expect and demand that UF turn in a cheating Miami coach to the NCAA. The problem I have is that UF has been cleaner than most for many years. It's the fact that cheating Miami has the opportunity to turn in a UF coach is what galls me. UF is an angel compared to Miami. Besides, I hate Miami and I'm glad we're through playing them.

You wear your orange and blue glasses very well ET. You have no idea what goes on out there in recruiting. UF is no cleaner or no more dirty than the other schools on average. We all hear rumors of this school or that school but most are smart enough not to leave a paper trail. The only way anyone outside the process ever gets confirmation is knowing someone personally who has been recruited dirty or knowing someone inside the business. Several years ago I pissed off some of the Buckeye crew because I repeated something about OSU that my son was told by a close friend who was on a college coaching staff in the northeast. Another time we actually knew a kid that my boys went to school with who wss gifted by LSU. Other than things like that, recruiting stories are just that, stories.

I get that you THINK you'll win...but not possibility of a loss is ludicrous.

I see LSU and USC as wins in Gainesville as much as you see a Florida win in Tallahassee. That's fair isn't it?

I see LSU and USC as wins in Gainesville as much as you see a Florida win in Tallahassee. That's fair isn't it? Not really, considering the differences between all of those teams. If you want to put a UF win in Tally on there...fine. But I read, "I don't see a 4th loss on there..." as you not having a realistic chance to lose.... And that simply isn't true against LSU or Carolina.

And that simply isn't true against LSU or Carolina. LSU will likely be starting a true freshman QB. There is no way a true freshman QB is going to come to The Swamp and win. USC? I can't recall the guys name that will be starting for the cocks, but he's not as good as last years starter Connor Shaw. I'd give the cocks about a 25% chance of winning in The Swamp. It's my prediction that UF won't lose more than 3 games. Could the other games be competitive? Yes, it is the SEC after all. However, UF isn't going to lose at home this season. Any losses will have to be neutral Jax or on the road. Auburn was my pick to be the surprise SEC team to the positive side last year. This year, my pick goes with UF. That's not to say UF will make it to the national championship game as I didn't expect that of AU. I do expect UF to win the East and play for the SEC championship.

Until your offense shows something more than hot garbage your defense isn't going to be able to win enough games.

You are in good company as most all of the prognosticators are looking at UF as an 8-4 team preseason ranking the Gators in the low 20s range. The nolie in you couldn't resist 7-5, but that's ok as it is expected coming from you. I think UF will be on a mission to do better than what is projected.

I don't think you'll be that bad...but the pressure to be better on offense will show, especially if you struggle early. I think also that while you are good on defense, very good...you might be a little susceptible to the run. DTs a little bit iffy if memory serves. Could be wrong...but I think teams may have some success running against you.
