Orlando Pace has a new Jacket... also: Pace, like Favre in his first year of Hall eligibility, was an imposing left tackle who blocked for the winners of three consecutive NFL MVP awards during his 13-year career, the first dozen with the Rams. He started all 16 games in seven seasons and was an All-Pro five times. ^^ I didn't know that...^^^^ Hell yes__give that man a stack of pancakes!! He deserved to go in last year.Ditto ditto ditto. He was also a two time all American who blocked for a heisman trophy winner. Huge congrats to the kid from Sandusky.

I also read in all the tributes that OP was only the second Buckeye to start in Columbus on opening day...can't figure out / don't know who was first. Anyone know off the top off your head? Art Schlichter comes to mind but I wouldn't bet the house on it though Art might <g>As a true freshman art's the only guy I can think of too. Will have to give that some that in the 20 years (tell me it hasn't been that long!!!) since pace was at OSU.

Great list. Two thoughts. Jim Marshall hit being in the hof is simply wrong. And I'm guessing 80% of buckeye fans didn't know who Matt snell is, let alone that he played for woody.

Randy Gradishar is worthy of Canton tooSome possibilities, for at LEAST consideration - Jim Lachey, Gradishar, Keith Byars, Shawn Springs, Eddie George, and down the road, Nick Mangold... (this came up on another board, so I was digging a bit pre-super bowl)

Uhhh, okay... I'll have to take your word on this one. the things you learn on the web. lol. speaking of prison, maurice clarett was back in the news yesterday. he was sentenced for dui up in mt gilead (morrow county) to 60 days in the county jail (57 of those will be suspended if he completes 2 years of probation and a driver intervention program) and a $400 fine. one other football tidbit... meyer picked up another verbal commit for the '17 class. dt haskell garrett out of las vegas, a 4-star prospect, rated #6 in the nation by rivals as a d-lineman. he was considering usc, nd, and oklahoma among others. he's the 11th verbal for the 2017 class.
