Ohio State RB Warren Ball to graduate transfer to Akron, per report____imo, bad move, this coming season he would see a lot more carries As a grad student transfer he can play immediately and he's more likely to be 'the man' at Akron and show off his talent than be part of sharing the ball at OSU.

Yep...(glad I read down the board before just responding) I don't know why, but for some reason, this made me think of the kid a couple years ago who was supposed to be the same caliber player as Bosa or Spence. I think he got shot or had some sort of legal troubles. S___ Pittman, maybe? Anyways, this time of year I often think about the guys everyone is excited about, "We gotta have..." who end up not coming, for whatever reason...anyone remember that kid & know what happened to him?

That was sevon pittman out of canton mckinley. He also transferred to akron. Was a starter his first year there in '14 as a de but I don't recall hearing much about him last year.

I have a question for you guys who are closer/or in house, so to speak... The football team lost a lot of starters. But what about lettermen? From what I read in the student-athlete handbook, grfx.cstv.com/schools/osu/graphics/pdf/handbook/Student-Athlete-Handbook.pdf in football, to letter, it requires: FOOTBALL Participation in a minimum of one-third of the scheduled games; or a total of one-tenth of the season's combined playing time; or creditable attainment. I'd imagine that figuring out who letters is sort of time consuming, and would be announced at some point during the off season...anyone know when/where/how this is done? And what the HEKK is 'creditable attainment?'

Good kid, & good story about his dad...extract from yesterday's Skull Session (link to entire thing below) AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO FROM WILLIAM WHITE. Brendon White, a 2017 four-star safety and Ohio State commit, rocketed up 247's latest rankings. He's now ranked as the country's No. 34 prospect. He wasn't the only White to see his name in the lights on Wednesday. Brendon's father, William White, who played DB at Ohio State in the 1980s, wrote about the importance of education in his climb up the footballing ranks. (I love legacy recruits) From ajc.com: In sixth grade, we moved to a different area of town. My new principal would see me playing football at recess, tackling my classmates. “You’re not going to make it in football,” he told me one day. “You need to focus on school and study as hard as you play football.” That day, I accepted his challenge, and from that point on, I was motivated to be the best at everything – whether it was in the classroom or on the field. During the summer before ninth grade, I visited my dad at work, in a foundry for General Motors. Two of my older brothers worked there too. If you’ve never been in a foundry in July, it’s extremely hot, and the only air-conditioned office in the whole place belonged to an engineer. That was another pivotal moment for me. I didn’t know what an engineer did, but I thought, “I’m going to have to work here, so that’s what I’m going to be.” White ended up as an engineer after 11 years in the NFL. His goal is to push kids towards STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) degrees, so I guess we have an idea about his son's future major. www.elevenwarriors.com/skull-sessions/2016/02/67957/skull-session-conklin-msu-knew-itd-beat-osu-bosa-draft-slide-bucks-prove-interviews-combine

A lot of people have mixed emotions... OHIO STATE HONORS SUPERFAN. Personally, I don't understand the unbridled rage that consumes some people when Ohio State's superfans are mentioned. In a world of atrocities, is it really worth getting worked up over people who no doubt have a makeshift cemetery in the foundation of their houses? I'm not so sure. Regardless, Ohio State is honoring Buckeyeman. From urbanacitizen.com: COLUMBUS – The College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Alumni Society of The Ohio State University announced that Larry Lokai will receive its 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award at an Alumni Awards Luncheon on March 5. Lokai started his teaching career at Northwestern-Clark High School in Springfield in 1967. In 1985 he was recognized as Ohio Vocational Teacher of the Year. For the 1989-1990 school year he taught at EHOVE Career Center in Milan and was named Ohio Agri-Business Teacher of the Year. The following year he moved to Keystone High School in LaGrange, where he stayed until retirement. While teaching he also served as a field inspector for the Ohio Seed Improvement Association and an instructor for the Ohio Division of Wildlife, both positions continuing beyond his retirement from teaching. After retirement he spent time as an adjunct instructor at Ohio State coaching the poultry team and as an adjunct instructor at Clark State Community College. Since 1998 many people have come to know Lokai as his alter-ego “Buckeyeman.” Donning a wig, face paint, OSU apparel and multiple buckeye necklaces, he averages over 100 days involved with events and activities. He has given away over 1,300,000 buckeyes, 36,000 buckeye necklaces and 1,200 buckeye seedlings. Ohio State better take its award back if Buckeyeman doesn't show up to his ceremony full regalia. (What am I saying? Buckeyeman probably doesn't even undress when he fornicates.) www.elevenwarriors.com/skull-sessions/2016/02/68083/skull-session-nfl-combine-approaches-buckeyeman-honored-ohio-state-dante-booker

Meanwhile, on the other hand... Malcolm Jenkins Signs Five-Year Deal Worth $40.5 Million with Philadelphia Eagles
A broken pinkie didn't stop Malcolm Jenkins from registering one his best professional seasons. The Philadelphia Eagles safety finished his sixth NFL season with 89 tackles, two interceptions, one defensive touchdown that cost Tom Brady home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus graded him as the league's best safety, and although he was snubbed from the Pro Bowl he eventually made it as an alternate. (recommend hitting the link, nice vid) www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2016/02/68113/malcolm-jenkins-signs-five-year-extension-with-philadelphia-eagles
