The more things change the more they stay the same. For example, Willie is still the same ass he's always been. A-hmmm....you wouldn't be saying that The Song Remains the Same, now would you? : ) Indeed I would be.

There is no debate required. Anyone who disputes the obvious is clearly a hater. I think there a couple of different ways to measure the conference as a whole but if the conversation is based on the fact that the SEC has won the last 6 NC's, then there is certainly no debate. The top teams in the SEC are as good as it gets. Only a true hater would try to shortchange us Then again I guess since the SEC has won so damn many, it can get a little confusing

It's remarkable how this thread, dormant for almost two years, suddenly becomes active when there are a few chinks in the SEC's armor.

With all of the chest thumping the SEC has done since this unprecedented run began, you really can't be surprised can you? And don't get me wrong, if any other conference goes on a run like this you can bet the fans will be just as vocal. I just hope I live long enough to have that be the B1G.

The B1G isn't the best basketball conference.

The B1G isn't the best basketball conference. Hard to judge which conference is best in the coming season but last season the B1G was the best. At least as it pertains to RPI ranking against Div I opponents. They finished second in overall RPI to the Mountain West.

Im comfortable with a prediction of the ACC being the top basketball conference this year, with the addition of Syracuse, Pitt, and I think Louisville is a member this season. That's 3 storied basketball programs, 2 of which are ranked in the top 25 to start the season.
