Mark Loving needs to transfer__it is quite evident he is not going to recover from what ever happened between him and Matta. just as he began to come into his own as a player he suffered whatever and has not recovered from it. i only ask that he go to a non big 10 team__ Amir needs to give up basketball as he will never be worth a damn as a center. Anyways March is finally here and I'm ready for March Madness!!

Anyways March is finally here and I'm ready for March Madness!!
the reason for loving's suspension, officially, remains a mystery. he was able to knock down a couple 3's vs unl, which was good, but he still often looked awkward w/the ball, trying to drive when there was no lane or room, etc. you hope it's just rust. we had our best shooting night, especially out of the gate, thursday night, and when tate, loving, kam williams, sammy, even shannon and bates-diop are all shooting well, it gives russell more space to maneuver inside and we can get easy baskets and get amir involved. i was a little surprised amir still started vs the huskers, and he'll definitely be on the floor tonite vs purdue due to their overall size, along w/mcdonald to spell him. it seems like we pass inside to williams once or twice early... he tried to get in the lane for a baby hook or down the lane for a jam, and then we forget about him, and he loses interest then just seems to disappear. fast. he had some good rebounds and one nice outlet pass for a layup in the last game, but he needs to go to the rim w/authority when he has the ball. if he can ever start getting 6-10 a game... we could be a tough out in march. real tough. but that's a big if... boilers are a tough team to go small on... they rebound well and hammonds can be a load to handle. but you hope playing back/back home games for just the 2nd time since the new year will bear some fruit.

Yes, it seems we've missed out on that earlier, we were 25/35, Boilers only 7/13...Not used to seeing us shoot so many FTs (& we STILL miss way too many).
Missed free throws damn near killed me tonight as LeBRON missed 2 in OT vs Houston that would've put them ahead late in OT

C&P from elsewhere, but I thought it was interesting...
TM: 10 years, 9 yrs NCAA eligible, 8 appearances (won NIT only yr didn't make it), 5 S16s, 3 E8s, 2 FFs, 1 NCG. Wasn't eligible his 1st year. Unbelievable. AND he has the best all-time winning % in the B1G tournament.
Pretty much a Golden Era for Ohio State sports.

If you've never made the drive, US 22 from Harrisburg to State College is nice scenery-wise...but can be pretty treacherous in weather. I thought the weather channel said this AM they were supposed to have freezing rain this afternoon & evening.

Unbelievable. AND he has the best all-time winning % in the B1G tournament. Pretty much a Golden Era for Ohio State sports. not to mention 5 1st place finishes, 1 2nd in the big 10 regular season, and 5 1sts/4 2nds in the league moneymaker. he's also got a top 5 recruiting class on the horizon next year. and he's accomplished all this with some pretty significant health issues. and yet i still see some bozos claiming he should get canned this year. idiots. btw, speaking of osu sports, the men's tennis team has won 200 (that's correct) consecutive home matches, which is a ncaa record. that will be threatened on friday when #2 oklahoma comes to town. on the women's hoops side, kelsey mitchell was just named not only big ten freshman of the year but league co-mvp after leading the league in scoring at 24.5/game, and leading the nation in total points w/736. the ladies went 13-5/21-9 and are the #3 seed heading into the conference tournament this weekend. the women's track team won the big 10 meet over the weekend. and the osu wrestlers have 3 top seeds heading into the league tournament, led by logan steiber, who's won 3 straight league and 3 straight ncaa titles. he's 21-0 this year, and would be the first osu wrestler to ever win 4 straight big 10 titles. iowa (won the regular season this year) and psu (won the last 4 big 10 and last 4 ncaa tournament crowns) will be tough to beat. osu hasn't won league tourney title since 1951. it has definitely been a fun year so far.

Pretty much a Golden Era for Ohio State sports. not to mention 5 1st place finishes, 1 2nd in the big 10 regular season, and 5 1sts/4 2nds in the league moneymaker. he's also got a top 5 recruiting class on the horizon next year. and he's accomplished all this with some pretty significant health issues. and yet i still see some bozos claiming he should get canned this year. idiots. btw, speaking of osu sports, the men's tennis team has won 200 (that's correct) consecutive home matches, which is a ncaa record. that will be threatened on friday when #2 oklahoma comes to town. on the women's hoops side, kelsey mitchell was just named not only big ten freshman of the year but league co-mvp after leading the league in scoring at 24.5/game, and leading the nation in total points w/736. the ladies went 13-5/21-9 and are the #3 seed heading into the conference tournament this weekend. the women's track team won the big 10 meet over the weekend. and the osu wrestlers have 3 top seeds heading into the league tournament, led by logan steiber, who's won 3 straight league and 3 straight ncaa titles. he's 21-0 this year, and would be the first osu wrestler to ever win 4 straight big 10 titles. iowa (won the regular season this year) and psu (won the last 4 big 10 and last 4 ncaa tournament crowns) will be tough to beat. osu hasn't won league tourney title since 1951. it has definitely been a fun year so far. ...we haven't had a conference COY since 1979... remarkable, isn't it?
