Something was wrong, I kept checking for the games all week and they never showed up when I did. I was about to email trn asking when he was going to put up the picks. I get home from work at 9 last night and here they are, been up forever. I honestly had no clue the score of the Auburn Kansas st game when I picked. And hey, I lost it anyway

Pick breakdowns for the week:
AU-KSU: Players favored AU 13-7 UF-Bama: Players favored UF 11-9 Clem-FSU: Players favored Clemson 16-4 UVA-BYU: Players split 10-10 MSU-LSU: Players favored LSU 15-5 Miami-Neb: Players favored Nebraska 12-8 WVU-Okla: Players favored Oklahoma 14-6 Pitt-Iowa: Players favored Pitt 14-6 Maryland-Cuse: Players favored Maryland 18-2 Utah-Michigan: Players favored Michigan 15-5 GT-VT: Players favored VT 13-7 Cal-Arizona: Players favored Arizona 17-3
Only 2 huge outliers with the Arizona game and the Maryland game.
And I'm loving the hell out of the 10-10 split on Virginia-BYU.

6 of us and the damn cat had K-State. Woot! I'd love to see a stat about whether or not SEC teams cover when they have to travel west. I'd guess they rarely do, but then again, traveling west, in and of itself, is rare for SEC teams.

Well as long as you fed me a straight line and for ET's "amusement": Easy answer for Fla, they never lose OOC, going W. Cause they never travel OOC OOS.

That is a flat out lie, and I think it's both disingenuous of you and disrespectful of the University of Florida. The traveled to Syracuse in 1991...and lost. Oh, and just to let you know how little things have changed when it comes to the SEC and the inflated rankings of their teams....UF was ranked #6 going into that game, while Syracuse was ranked #17. UF lost by 17. UF fell to #14...but never lost again that season...and climbed back to #3 in the rankings... The very next time they had to travel for OOC was to the Sugar Bowl where they played #18 Notre Dame...they lost that too. Lesson, apparently, LEARNED!!

USC must really suck. UF went to Los Angeles in 1983 and tied the Trojans. That was after beating USC in Gainesville in 1982.

Soooo.....the then #18 ranked Florida, a team that ended the season #11, comes west to play USC, a deplorable team that ended that season 4-6-1, and couldn't beat them? Aren't you making my point?

You know this is just so silly. UF hasn't had enough out of region games, didn't have to with FSU yearly and Miami to a much lesser extent filling out the dance cards, so that any conclusion can be made. More recently, there was this little game in Glendale when UF stomped the bucknuts 41-14 in their home away from home. I believe that qualifies for an SEC team traveling east to west. Bama beat Texas in another little game in Los Angeles that also qualifies as another SEC team traveling east to west. I think Auburn beat Oregon in Glendale too. Auburn just went east to west beating KSU last night. Your timing is suspect so what's your point? Do you want a USC vs. UF home and home? Now that Miami is off the board, I'm sure Jeremy Foley would consider it for sometime after UF travels west to Jerry's World to play Michigan in 2017. For those who have played the game, they know that's too much $ to pass up for a neutral site game. The SEC has 5 teams in the current top 10 and 8 in the top 25 of both polls. Both UF and Missy St. are just out. It sure sucks to be the SEC.

Both UF and Missy St. are just out. It sure sucks to be the SEC. During the regular season, teams are not allowed to leave for a road game any sooner than, I believe, 48 hours prior to kickoff. That is a far cry from landing in Glendale or Pasadena and spending a few weeks getting used to things. Road games are just tough. They just are, and the farther away they are, the harder it is for the team to get used to things. Anyone that's flown across the country for business will tell you that and they're not even playing football. USC laid an egg in Boston in a game they should have won. That's what the road can do, especially to a young team. Some of these kids have never even been on a plane before. ...and yeah, I'd love to see a home and home between UF and USC. And no, I'm not holding my breath. After all...Georgia Southern is more than enough competition and far easier to get to. SEC, is, indeed, stout this season...at least so far. SECW, is stupid good.

It sure sucks to be the SEC. bowl games are neutral sites. bowl games aren't scheduled games. bowls aren't flying into another program's home town and playing on their field. kudos to auburn for playing a true road game. kudos to lsu for playing at wvu a couple years ago, at washington in '09, at asu in '05. kudos to uga for playing at asu, at okla st and at colo in successive years '08-'10. kudos for alabama for playing at psu in '11. your glendale johnny one-note crutch is as old as it is a non-answer to the obvious question, a hole in an otherwise top tier program. but just keep dancing... you know how good dancers w/crutches are... mark scott tosu 81

That's what the road can do, especially to a young team. Some of these kids have never even been on a plane before. As I type this, I am on a plane flying home having just completed my fourth week in a row on the West Coast for business, crossing three time zones each flight. From my experience, going West is easier than going East but it still a very tough trip. When I head West, the time difference hits me that first night and I am usually up at 4am then recover pretty quickly the second night. Going East, it is usually the second night that the jet lag hits me and stays with me for at least two days/nights afterwards. I couldn't imagine having to try to play a football game after a cross-country trip, even if I was younger and still in good shape. Sure, the kids get a chance to take a nap during the day if they need it but it still hard to adjust, especially if they have never done it before and don't know what to expect.

Walt, I agree. UF vs. USC would be a great home and home. I'm sure the SEC Network would show the 82 game for all to enjoy.
