Although the SEC is extremely deep in 2018, the consensus top 3 in alphabetical order are Florida/Georgia/Vanderbilt.

The UF three true freshmen aren't growing up fast enough. The Gators are off the a 2-4 start. Stanford is waiting for UF to visit on the 24th. The Cardinal must be licking their chops to get their hands on this Gator team after having lost to UF in the national Final in 17. The Gators get a tune up at St. Mary's, but the rivalry with Stanford is strong in women's tennis. The Cardinal will be sky high for the Gators. This is the feast or famine I was talking about above. The Gators are presently in the famine zone although a win at Stanford could turn their season in a big way. I just don't expect it.

UF goes 2-0 on the west coast winning 4-3 at Stanford. It matters not that both teams are unranked at this time when you consider 6 of the last 8 national championships have been won by these two teams. UF vs. Stanford is a huge rivalry in women's tennis: floridagators.com/news/2018/2/24/womens-tennis-gators-defeat-stanford-in-4-3-thriller.aspxThe Gators have talent, are playing better, and have room to grow. Up Next: the start of the SEC season at Ole Miss on Thursday followed by at Mississippi State on Saturday

3.21.2018
TUSCALOOSA Ala. – 18th-ranked Florida travels to the state of Alabama for a two-match road swing that begins Thursday against the Crimson Tide, before a Saturday matinee at No. 15 Auburn. This week's pair of matches will be the Gators' (10-5, 5-1 SEC) 12th and 13th away from Gainesville this season, as the squad has compiled a 6-5 record in those outings, including a 6-2 mark on true away courts. On the Line In the 13-match regular-season SEC schedule, there is very little room for too many slips. With South Carolina's 4-1 win over Georgia last week, the Gamecocks sit alone and atop the Southeastern Conference standings with a 6-0 record. Four league schools have endured one conference loss: Florida (5-1), Vanderbilt (5-1), Auburn (4-1) and Georgia (4-1)
