Felt like playoff baseball last night in a 5-4 extra-innings win___Gimenez is the best fielding 2B since Roberto Alomar. He makes all of the routine plays and he frequently makes the the difficult plays look routine. He probably saved two runs with his glove. he's not as good a hitter, but imho he's an even better fielder than robbie. and yet another come from behind win (#42, tops in the majors), in 10 innings, clinches a playoff berth behind a 1st yr manager, a couple key vets, a bunch of kids and a lights out bullpen. way to go cleveland!! and its gimenez who drives in the game winner. |

and now it’s zero. kc loss give the guards the central… certainly the most unlikely division title since cleveland got back on the mlb map 30 yrs ago. cool!! After we lost Shane Bieber early for the season, I didn't know what to make of our pitching staff. Yost did a nice job using the bullpen early when needed, something Francona didn't always do. Yahoo Sports has the Guardians with the worst starting pitching among playoff teams but the best bullpen in the majors..I might have to buy a guardians hoodie for the October weather. |
