Why do you live in his head? The real question, Cheese Burgher, is why does your nose live in Harry's ass? You two clods have been troll tag-teaming me for years with your ignorant BS. And neither one of you two clods ever read Eusebius, as I recommended years ago. You're still as ignorant as ever about early Christian history. You mean Eusebius the heretic?

There is no “the” church. See if you can figure that out. And your boy Eusebius was once branded a heretic. Right?

Get a clue, Harry. You get an "F" in Ecclesiastical History 101. Was he ever excommunicated? Read the Ecclesiastical History, Harry. You'll learn many details about the history of the Church from the 1st to the 4th centuries A.D. The Church of the New Testament never ceased to exist. It is the Eastern Orthodox Church and, in the Latin West, the post-Schism Roman Catholic Church. Most Protestants know nothing about what happened to the Church for 1,500 years-- from the end of St. Luke's Acts of the Apostles to Martin Luther's revolt against the corrupt Renaissance Papacy.

You mean Eusebius the heretic? Eusebius of Caesaria (in Palestine.) Commissioned by the Emperor Constantine in the early 4th century A.D. to write a history of the first three centuries of the Church. Can you and Daleko name the Five Patriarchates of the Church? I have studied a bit in days gone by. Eusebius was a shill for Constantine. His reputation by some concluded he wrote w a slant. But even then he wrote and championed a man made religion that gained traction to today. But gaining traction doesn't mean anything other than it gained traction. He was educated and extremely well thought of a person of intellect. However, if you don't accept that this one man made religion bears the weight over others, all you have is a written history of said religion and man's desire to understand why we exist and the refusal to accept other options. The Patriarchates of this Church are just that. And having said that, I don't condemn you for believing whatever you believe.

One bizarre implication of your "man made" notion is that the detailed, first person witness testimony of the canonical Gospels was all made up. Imagine what remarkable fiction writers, liars, and con men those Apostles were! And, oddly, they were all willing to be tortured and executed for their "fictional" witness testimony about Christ... As for your inaccurate concept of Church history, can you and clueless Harry tell the forum the Christian "denomination" of the great ancient churches of the Levant-- e.g., Hagia Sophia in Constantinople, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, etc.?

A closed Q. You want to define the Christian religion shrug. There are more ancient religions. If size matters, more people believe in astrology in its various forms than Christianity. And it predates Christianity around the globe. The Christians worked harder at spreading around the globe replacing other forms of belief.

And it predates Christianity around the globe. The Christians worked harder at spreading around the globe replacing other forms of belief. You are reducing religion to a mere human construct. Just to clarify, do you believe in the possibility of a Deity who is capable of interacting with humans? For example, do you believe that Moses was contacted by a Deity on Mount Sinai-- or that the Torah was simply invented by a man or various men? Beyond that alleged Hebrew Theophany, do you believe that Christ was an Incarnation of the Deity? And, incidentally, in the ancient theology of the Church there is a concept that we cannot really know the fate of humanity outside of the Church-- the Theophany of the Christ. St. Paul, a Hebrew scholar/student of Gamaliel, and former Pharisee wrote, "Those who have the Torah will be judged by the Torah," and those who have the Theophany of Christ will be judged by that (Christian) revelation.
