St. Paul, a Hebrew scholar/student of Gamaliel, and former Pharisee wrote, "Those who have the Torah will be judged by the Torah," and those who have the Theophany of Christ will be judged by that (Christian) revelation. And you believe those are the only two options? No. Those are two that I mentioned. Now, answer the question.

A closed Q. You want to define the Christian religion shrug. There are more ancient religions. If size matters, more people believe in astrology in its various forms than Christianity. And it predates Christianity around the globe. The Christians worked harder at spreading around the globe replacing other forms of belief. You are reducing religion to a mere human construct. Just to clarify, do you believe in the possibility of a Deity who is capable of interacting with humans? For example, do you believe that Moses was contacted by a Deity on Mount Sinai-- or that the Torah was simply invented by a man or various men?
Beyond that alleged Hebrew Theophany, do you believe that Christ was an Incarnation of the Deity? And, incidentally, in the ancient theology of the Church there is a concept that we cannot really know the fate of humanity outside of the Church-- the Theophany of the Christ. St. Paul, a Hebrew scholar/student of Gamaliel, and former Pharisee wrote, "Those who have the Torah will be judged by the Torah," and those who have the Theophany of Christ will be judged by that (Christian) revelation. Re-posting the key questions for Daflekto.

What is Apostolic Succession? Go back and do your homework. I can't have an informed conversation with a hairy stooge who flunked Ecclesiastical History 101.

Man-made governing bodies of man-made institutions. Apostolic succession? Plenty of churches claim that, including the Mormons.

Who was Ignatius of Antioch? Any clue?

There are more than 12 disciples identified in the NT. There were the 70, but the 12 main Apostles. Study their lives in the Orthodox hagiography. Rectify your ignorance. And study the hagiography of those whom the Apostles ordained as their successors in the Church-- e.g., Ignatius of Antioch, Polycarp of Smyrna, Clement of Rome, et.al. Eusebius gives a detailed account of the Apostolic Succession of the Church in the principal cities of the eastern Roman Empire, from the Apostles to the 4th century. It's not what you imagined.

Already knew there were 70. And I’m already familiar with the history of Christianity. It’s your arrogance that makes you believe otherwise.

Re-posting the key questions for Daflekto. I'll answer. No. God did not speak to Moses, carve stone or part the sea. No. Jesus is not an incarnation of a deity. Bonus answer: God didn't speak to Noah nor has it ever conversed with anyone else that ever lived. Are we clear?

Bonus answer: God didn't speak to Noah nor has it ever conversed with anyone else that ever lived. Are we clear? And you know this how, exactly? Do tell. Secondly, do you agree with the implication of your hypothesis that the canonical Gospels and Pauline Epistles are fictional-- i.e., that the Apostles were just making up their alleged witness testimony about the life and resurrection of Christ?
